Is D-93 ( 10 rupee 2012 "L" inset 2012 without rupee symbol ) a rare issue ? There is no UNC note available for sale online and the ones in normal / poor grade are being sold for 4000 . Is is that rare or hyped ? Even I have scrolled across thousands of 10 rupee mixed bundles both UNC and Normal grade but never got hold of this note . Is it really that rare ?
ReplyDeleteRather than calling it rare, let me say its not easily available with dealer's or in Major Metros. When currency notes are printed, at times the distribution takes then to remote villages / small towns. These then don't find there way easily with collectors. The used notes found are notes that have travelled to city by travellers into the hands of dealers. Or they could even be lying idle in some Bank's Currency chest at the back and no ones removing it ... they are just stocking and using the ones in front ... :)
ReplyDeleteSo that is a good sign . In days to come when this inset will be out for circulation they will definitely land up in the hand of dealers and people and their prices will fall drastically and be at par with other notes in gandhi series . I have been tracking this note closely and only seen it with prefixes 11F , 12F and 13F so far .
