Beginning with Civil Aviation issue, the Coins were
redesigned to include the Rupee symbol. The older method of writing Rupees in
Hindi and English was done away with.

2011 100 Yrs ICMR
The 3rd Coin of the Year 2011 was to commemorate the 100 years of Indian Council for Medical Research. The mint and the coin details are as below;

2011 150 Yrs Of CAG
The last coin released in Year 2011 was to commemorate the 150 years of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India. The coin release ceremony was done in November, however the actual coins were put in circulation by Kolkata mint in April 2012. The mint and the coin details are as below;

2012 Shaheed Bhagat Singh Birth Centenary
The first coin to be put in circulation in the Year 2012 was that of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Birth Centenary. Although the coin was Original to be issued in the Year 2007 / 2008, it got delayed. Hence the old design and usage of the Stainless steel. The details are;

Note: The Centenary was in Year 2007. However the coins were released in September 2008. The Proof Sets and UNC sets booking were in July 2009. There was also a controversy as Bhagat Singh was shown with a hat rather than a turban, offending Sikh sentiments.
Partly due controversy and partly due to heavy backlog of sets and the number of sets being released in 2009 & 2010, these coins were never put in general circulation.
Quite a few MP raised this issue in the parliament that coins of Bhagat Singh be put in regular circulation. Bowing to the demands the coins were finally put into general circulation in April 2012.

2012 60 Years of Parliament
The coins were released to mark the occasion of diamond jubilee of the first sitting of parliament.

2012 150 Years of Kuka Movement
The coins were released to mark the 150 years of Kuka Movement. Although the coins were designed in the year 2007, they were delayed for release. There were quite a few reasons, with historians not agreeing to the date of the movement.

2012 150 th Birth Anniversary of Madan Mohan Malaviya
The coins were released to mark the 150 th Birth Anniversary of Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya.
Mint: Mumbai, “M” Mark, Hyderabad
This was the first time that a coin with a “M” mint mark
usually for Proofs was released in circulation in huge quantity. The practise
of using proof dies for circulation strikes that was stopped after changing the
metal to Nickel-Brass started with this issue.

2012 60 Years of Kolkata Mint
The coins were release to mark the 60 years of the Kolkata Mint. The City Calcutta/Kolkata has had a Mint much before the Independence during the British era. The work for the current Mint at Alipore began in 1930, got stopped due to war. The actual mint was inaugurated in 1952 by First Finance Minister CD Deshmukh.
In what can sound strange, the coins were first released
into general circulation by Mumbai Mint.

The second circulation coin of 2014 saw a commemorative coins being issued on the 125th Birth Anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. Although the release function was held on 11-Nov-2013, it was only in Oct 2014 the coins issued for general circulation.
