12-Dec-2019: Mumbai Mint has opened the bookings for 75 years of Tricolour in Andamans. The Proof is at Rs 2830/- and UNC at Rs 2655. The bookings are open from 12-Dec-2019 to 15-Jan-2020.
18-Nov-2019: The Kolkata Mint has opened the bookings for Guru Nanak Dev coins.
02-Oct-2019: Mumbai Mint opened the booking for 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandi on the same day as release function. There was no booking Advert in any newspapers
There were 2 variations of the coin packaging.
1. Proof in Wooden Box - 5665/-
2. UNC in Wooden Box - 5305/-
3. Proof in Blister Pack - 4585/-
4. UNC in Blister Pack - 4225/-
The silver is .999 fineness rather than the typical Quantenary Alloy used with 50% silver.
04-Jan-2019: Mumbai Mint has opened booking for the Paika Bidroha and Atal Bahari Vajpayee coins. Booking are Open from 4-Jan-2019 to 4-April-2019.
- Atal Bahari Vajpayee Proof is at 2825 and UNC at 2615.
- Paika Bidroha Proof is at 2825 and UNC at 2615.

Coin Booking Advert in the Year 2018
09-Dec-2018: Kolkata Mint has opened booking for all the remaining 2 sets, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Mahalanobis and rebooking for 4 sets; Srimad Rajchandra, Deendayal, Tatya Tope, Biju.
1. 500th Anniversary of Shri Krishna Chait anya Mahaprabhu's coming to Vrindavan. Proof at Rs 3087 and UNC at Rs 3277.
2. 125th Birth Anniversary of PC Mahalanobis. Proof at Rs 3798 and UNC at Rs 3274
3. 150th Birth Anniversary of Srimad Rajchandra. Proof at Rs 3922 and UNC at Rs 3318.
4. Birth Centenary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya. Proof at Rs 3919 and UNC at Rs 3314.
5. 200th Birth Anniversary of Tatya Tope. Proof at Rs 3922 and UNC at Rs 3318.
6. Biju Patniak Birth Centenary. Proof at Rs 3919 and UNC at Rs 3314

17-Nov-2018:
Mumbai Mint has opened new bookings for Shree Jagannath Nabakaebara Yatra, Mysore University and National Archives. The bookings are open this time for a period of 3 months from 17-Nov-2018 to 16-Feb-2019. The Proof is at Rs 3975 and UNC at Rs 3135. The Nabakaebara coins are more expensive at Rs 4295 and 3540 as the silver content is 80%.
06-Mar-2018:
Bookings open for Maharana Pratap and MS Subbulakshmi. The proof is at 3940 and UNC at 3122. This is quite a bit of steep price compared to Kolkata Mint that is charging only closed to 1200 less. There is no rationalie for Mumbai mint to charge this high.
16-Feb-2018:
Bookings open for Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya and Shrimad Rajchandra. The Proof is at Rs 2734 and 2735 and UNC at 2372 and 2374. The bookings are open from 16-Feb-2018 to 31-Mar-2018. It seems these days Kolkata Mint is not advertising in Times of India. They may be releasing the Adv in some other papers.
28-Jan-2018:
The reduction in taxes means that the Counter sale coin sets from Mumbai and Kolkata Mint have reduced the prices. The Kolkata Mint prices are still way high than market rates. Some of the sets listed by Mint are available with dealers for less than 1/4 the price. It is best to avoid buying any coin set from Kolkata Mint. The Mumbai mint prices are more reasonable, barring few initial issues. Coins like Mata Vaishno devi are now available from Counter sale at a price less than original issue price.
