      It should take another few months. The booking of Jan are being despatched. Mumbai mint would send you email with speed post tracking number once despatched

      In an exhibition, where all use to shof off their collections,a man came up with a Rupee 50 Banknote without the tiranga on top of the Parliament ,,is it Real or counterfeit ? If it s real , i will buy it .

      Quite a few older issue are with out flag. This is pretty common. You should be able to get it for less than rs 100 depending on Governor, inset

      The last update in March was the design proposed was not accepted. There was an wider community to meet and finalise the design. No update after that. Given the back log of mints it may still happen.

    Thanks Admin. Would be happy to know your good name :). I am anticipating futher delays as now there is no response from Mr. Paul as well. I have been trying to reach him, since it's over a month past our initial discussion, and wanted to have a quick follow up. But presumably due to the snailing pace of procurement, courtesy IG Mint Kolkata; he must be getting multiple calls; and thus stopped responding. :)

    News section says Coins on Tatya Tope were released on 14th April 2016. But the table about releases and bookings does not find the mention of it.

      You can buy them from dealers. There are also bookings open from Kolkata mint.

    sir its gona be my first time online booking sets from kolkata mint , shall i book all 4 coins together or each coin seperatly ? i mean seperatly as booking each coin after 1-2 week gap ? then mint would send coins seperatly or all together ?

      If you buy together,it will be good,as per me,as I bought first Ambedkar coin and then 3 days later,I bought 1965 Indo-Pak war coin,but when it comes about delivery it was between March 15-20 for Ambedkar coin and I received Indo-Pak coin Yesterday ��

    If you book from same login ID, it's treated as same and no difference if you book single or multiple. Of late Kolkata mint is despatching set's individually. The booking done by DD offline are despatched first.

    Please Contact the Mumbai Mint Numbers given in their Website or here - 033-22703184 / 022-22663093. Generally they respond. If you don't seem to get a response on the first call, keep checking on the alternate numbers and they would pickup.

    I have booked Bhel,Chinmayananda,Tata,Maulana Azad & Begum Akhtar sets from Kolkata Mint in Ist week of October 2015. I have called Kolkata mint many times, but did not get any response. Do you have any information regarding the dispatch schedule ?

      BHEL and Tata despatch has not begun. Chinmayananda only recently... So depending on when you booked it may take a while... I am yet to get mine, booked online first day. The other 2 despatch has begun and coming to close, hopefully you should get your sets soon. Drop a mail to mint for safety. Kolkata mint takes quite a bit of time, one particular set I got after 2 years.

      Email: calmint@spmcil.com -> No body responds

      Submit Feedback -> same, No body responds

      is there any other way to contact them ?

    4. As per the latest input from Marketing - IG Mint Kolkata on the current Status of Dispatches; Swami Chinmayananda Online Bookings dispatch should start soon.. For the others; looks like, there is still long time to go!

    2. I have ordered coin sets from Kolkata Mint on 27th July. In the status column of the order, it says "Check Out". In the previous orders it says "Trans Success". So what is the meaning of "Check Out" ?

      Check out means that there was some error and payment was not made. Check your card statement, if it shows debit you are fine. Keep a record of this and mail the mint. If it's not on card, rebook again.

      Yes mail them more as safety. You may not get a response. Send reminder every 10 days.
      I had a similar problem couple of years back and I did get the sets.
      The status will keep showing check out and will not change.

    I am a novice in coin collection. I was trying to catalogue coin collection of my father, using data available on various web sites. It is observed that Reverse side of almost all coins in the list (excel file ) provided in your blog is given as Asoka pillar. But in most of other sites including standard catalogue of world coins and RBI monetary museum, Asoka pillar side is shown as Obverse. Which is correct. Please clarify.

      Obverse and reverse is ongoing debate even internationally and opinions are divided.
      In Indian coinage, all the commemorative are clearly notified by RBI on reverse and obverse. Even on definitive if you read the RBI press release, you can see the denomination side is obverse and emblem side is reverse.
      So don't be bothered by definition

      One rupees notes were reintroduced last year. So we have one with 2015 and 2016, already circulating
