    Dear Coin Collector Buddies - Wish You All a Happy 2018! The dispatch of the Online Bookings for Komagata Maru & Centenary of Mahatma Gandhi's Home Coming Sets are yet to start, and a tentative timeline is Mid - March 2018. The Dispatch of Offline Bookings for the aforesaid sets is currently on - hold, due to some technical issues with Procurement; as per the recent discussion with the IG Mint, Mumbai. This is for the reference of all, who have booked these sets; either Offline or Online. Meanwhile Circulating Coins have been stopped to be in production since last month, due to excess supply in the overall market, and demand for the lots already minted; being least now a days!! Happy Collecting.....

    I wanted to book the Vaishno Devi Proof Set from the Mumbai Mint Online Counter Sale , I wanted to know whether those sets are Reminted or Extra Sets. My doubt arised as I saw the rates in the Counter Sale were less than that of the booking price. It would be greatful if someone could put some light into this.

      Extra sets. Mints are using a mix of market price for the sets and price of silver. As the price of silver is reduced, this reflects in the new price by mint.

      Just took a close look. The price on the main page is incorrect. Once you login, the price is same as original booking amount less of taxes that were down to 5%

    Hello All, Just confirmed with Hyderabad Mint. The "Hyderabad Mint 4 Single Coin Sets" will be dispatched today (16th Feb) and tomorrow (dispatch will be over by Monday). People who ordered it online, the status (Postal Tracking Number) will be available under 'Track Order' by Tuesday (20th Feb).

    Mumbai Mint has started the dispatches of the Online Orders for Mahatma Gandhi's Home Coming and Komagata Maru Sets.

    Also, the Advertisement for the latest Booking from Kolkata Mint were published in TOI (17th February), apart from ABP (Region Daily), on the same day - after commencement of Bookings from the 16th Feb 2018.

Crop Science Coin, Not The Kolkota issue but that of the first issue, I have been postponing the purchase because there are lot of fakes.       The price is in the range of Rs 8000 to 12000. Identifying fake needs physical examination. Some are easy to identify with finish and minor difference. Some are more difficult. Identifying first vs second strike is also not 100% sure. Best buy from trusted dealers, auction house

    I've been collecting coins and bank notes for the past few years only. Ebay.in was one of the major source for addition to my collection. Since ebay has closed shop in India, is there any other trusted website or online market place to purchase bank notes and coins?

      Unfortunately no. Olx, Quikr, are full of fakes. There are quite a few griupg on Facebook. Most are fake, shoddy, scam vanish away. There are few genuine dealers. Keep watching for few months and then decide. Else visit coin exhibition and connect with dealers.

      I tried last night and the booking failed after the banking transaction was completed. I couldn't see the order in Track Orders page. I have raised a complaint now in their 'Feedback' link with the banking transaction reference.

      The site is poorly maintained and unstable at times.

      Yes it is. It happened few years back to me. No response from mint after 6 months and dozen chasers. Set's were delivered.

      Worst part is that in their FAQ page related to products, a telephone number is shared. When I tried calling the call gets rejected as invalid number.

      Please help if you have any other contacts / email of spmcil kolkata to communicate.
