The 5th Release ceremony of the year saw the commemorative coins on 125th Birth Anniversary of Jawaharlal Nehru. This makes it the 3rd time the First Prime Minister of India is commemorated, the previous occasion were on the Death and then on Birth Centenary. This also marks the first time a coin of denomination Rs 125 is issued.
The other
times were in 1964 on Death of Nehru and in 1989 on Birth Centenary.
