1996 Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Birth Centenary, Error Coin
The 2 Rupees, 1996 Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Birth Centenary, was erroneously issued by the Kolkata mint. The Mint official realized this and point out the error. The actual Centenary Year of Bose is 1997. Once the mistake was realized, the coin was withdrawn. It is not known as to how many coins are still in circulation and how many were withdrawn. Taking a fancy to this, there are quite a few fakes also available. Refer to the fake coins section for more details. The actual coin was then issued by all mints in the correct year 1997.The mint details and Description are;
